Banding Together...

I just wanted to let you guys know about something really neat that is going on at Lipscomb. The 7th grade Geography classes have started a blog to help the world. The money they raise will be donated to making a difference in undeveloped countries through micro-lending. They started with a rubber band ball that they traded up for a brand new iPod Nano. They then traded the iPod for $300 worth of house cleaning... so far they are off to a pretty good start. I helped them create the blog and am still helping with the project a little. They will keep trading items until April 2009 and then they will sell their final item and donate the money. They got the idea from this guy who started with one red paper clip and traded up for a house... pretty crazy huh?
